A preview of some assets in development

Though the usage of this site is waning as we develop our new site, we can still use this site to show previews that we wouldn't show on our new site.  So here's one of the assets currently in development (just click on the box icons to start the interactive viewing).

When this is done, it'll be fully-textured, complete with fully-animated trees and grass swaying to wind, with a lake filling that ditch, and an entire fantasy-themed village built on and around the higher elevations.  The wireframe view will reveal how much we need to retopologized the terrain for efficient game engine use, and the terrain is much larger in an actual game engine than it appears here in this 3D viewer (large enough to dwarf a game character).

Here's another preview of another asset also being made for our asset catalog--this time a piece of a rocky canyon peak.

By the way, you can expect more interactive previews this way, some of developmental work here on this site and more of finished work on our new site.  We'd like to know how you like these so far.

The new website is open for a preview

Our new website is still in development, but we think it's good enough to publish now.  We'll be employing it very soon, and updating it weekly.  Your useful feedback on how the site feels so far is appreciated.

We're moving!

Pretty soon, Powerhouse Game Assets will be relocated to a new site.  The site is almost finished, and it looks a lot better than this site, which was undergoing construction.  The link to the new site is here, but you'll get a "Coming soon..." message if you visit it now, but as soon as the new site is finished and published, we'll let you know!  And as soon as the new site is open, we'll also have our first finished assets available as well, including some free assets.

By the way, we eventually plan to rename the new site FeelThePowah.com.

Please excuse the junk on the floor!

This site is new and we're gradually building this site now, so please excuse our mess momentarily!  But this site is open in effect now and will be fully-functional really soon.  As soon as this site is finished, we'll move on to developing an official non-blog website for Powerhouse and leave this site remaining as a showcase blog of our game assets.  If you've come upon this game asset site other than through the PolyKhrome blog, then please be sure to visit our PolyKhrome developer's blog.

Welcome to Powerhouse Game Assets!

Welcome to the Powerhouse Game Assets blog site!  This is a site developed by indie game developer PolyKhrome designed just for the creation, showcasing and selling of game assets.  This is our side endeavor as we continue to develop our indie games, using this to help fund our game development as well as aid in the game development of other indie game developers.

We're excited to bring this addition to our indie company.  Over time, you will find all kinds of game assets available, assets ranging from 3D models to game animations, from special effects to game scripts, from content packs and to even full basic games starters with fully-customizable game templates, all reasonably-priced with the indie game developer in mind.

Powerhouse develops game assets with various kinds of 3D modeling packages in mind, such as 3ds Max, Maya, Blender, and Cinema 4D, as well as game engines such as Unity, UDK, CryEngine 3 SDK, LÖVE and Spring RTS Engine.  We support popular 2D file formats used in Photoshop, Illustrator, GIMP, Inkscape and Krita.  offer demos and samples whenever we can, and we also occasionally provide free content and host giveaways as well.

We provide assets available on a variety of digital asset marketplaces, such as Unity Asset Store, Envato, TurboSquid, and 3DExport.  We will also later provide mod kits for our future "moddable" games, which will be made available in the PolyKhrome Store on the official PolyKhrome site (currently in development).

We at Powerhouse focus just on game assets, we design assets as indie game developers ourselves (we develop only to the needs and quality that we would use in a game), and we price them with the indie game developer in mind (we keep our assets reasonably-priced).

We create our content in a way where you can easily customize the content to make it your own.  We also specialize in customized content, offering reasonable rates or set prices for our service, as well as offering a unique and reasonable royalty-based form of payment for certain work.

We enjoy making assets and we're here to create quality game-ready assets and to push our assets to new heights.  If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact us at PolyKhrome@gmail.com.
